Answers:

  1. I've forgotten my password. What do I need to do?
Go to a login page, enter your email address and click "Sign in", then click on "Reset password". Your email address will be shown again on a Reset your password prompt; click on Send link. You should receive an email with a link to Change password. Click the link, and enter your new password twice to confirm it, and you will be given a confirmation window as well as an email confirmation. (NOTE: If you have not upgraded to a new Thomson Reuters login, you will not be able to change your password. Call us at 810-744-3541 to reset your password so you can upgrade.)

  2. How do I use the portal to send documents and files?
To upload documents and files, you will be using the File Exchange function of the portal. Learn more about File Exchange here.

  3. Can I see anything on the portal besides my tax return.
We have the ability to post copies of practically any document we produce on your portal, including your financial statements, W-2s, etc. If you interested in receiving additional documents electronically, please let us know.

  4. Why do I have to use Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
To help protect your data, Thomson Reuters requires the use of Two Factor Authentication. This prevents someone accessing your portal with only your email and password. You can choose to receive a text message or voice call, use an authenticator app on a mobile device, or a security key. In this way, they have removed the requirement to change your password every 90 days..

  5. I need to send a copy of my tax return to my banker/attorney/etc. What are my options?
You can open and print tax returns from your portal at your convenience, which you can then mail or hand-deliver to your banker/attorney/etc. While you can also save the tax return on your local PC as a PDF file, we discourage you from simply attaching it to an email unless you are able to send it via encrypted email or encrypt the file itself. To have us email an encrypted copy on your behalf (for a fee), we will need a signed Consent for Disclosure to a Third Party, which you can find on the Popular Forms page.

  6. I get a security error from my security firewall when I try to login to my portal. What can I do?
We use a service to host our website, but we want to make it convenient for you to access it. Most users can access their portal going through our standard login page, but some security systems that protect against "spoofing" flag this setup as a possible security risk. We suggest you try this alternate link that takes you to directly to the login page for our service: https://secure.netlinksolution.com/nextgen/?firm=61328

  7. My account is blocked. What can I do?
Thomson Reuters logins are blocked when they detect a possible breach, such as multiple failed login attempts. If your login is blocked, look for an email from Thomson Reuters advising you that your account is blocked". To unblock it, open the email and click on the link.

  8. I forgot or lost my phone. How can I verify my identity?
When prompted to Verify Your Identity, click on Try another method at the bottom. You can always have your verification code sent to your email, or you can enter the "recovery code" you saved when you setup your Thomson Reuters login.

  9. I got a new phone, and the authenticator app won't verify my identity. What can I do?
Login as usual, but when prompted to Verify Your Identity, click on Try another method at the bottom. Have your verification code sent to your email or to your phone via text or voice call, or enter the "recovery code" you saved when you setup your Thomson Reuters login. The domain they use for our website is webbuildersolution.com, and the domain for our portal system is netlinksolution.com
